Dinner & Brunch
You might not expect tostados coming out of a three-hundred-year-old colonial in Newport, but Perro Salado delivers them with great pride and authenticity. Fill them (as well as tacos and enchiladas) with stewed pork, chicken or beef, and you'll barely recognize the surroundings as New England. The only thing more compelling than these tapas-sized treats is the Tijuana fried chicken with jalapeno gravy.

Perro Salado, also known as the Salty Day, has become one of Newport's local favorite. Located in Washington Square, Perro Salado serves fresh creative and authentic Mexican cuisine. Housed in a 1700's Colonial, Perro Salado has many cozy dining rooms to choose from, much like a Mexican hacienda. The building has several working fireplaces for cold winter nights and an open air patio for summer fun. Perro Salado has a full bar offering up fresh, seasonal margaritas, sangria, Mexican & micro brewed beers and an expansive tequila menu
