The Cliff Walk A World famous public access walk along the eastern shore of Newport. It combines the natural beauty of the shore line with architectural history. The Walk runs 3.5 miles and about two-thirds of the walk is in easy walking condition. Rough Point
Rough Point was the Newport home of wealthy heiress and art collector Doris Duke. The Astors Beechwood
Beechwood was built in 1851 for a southern cotton merchant named Daniel Parrish. William Backhouse Astor, Jr., purchased the mansion in 1881 and it became one of the social centers for the New York Society for over twenty-five years. Belcourt Castle
